Tippecanoe School Corporation Board of School Trustees member Randal K. Bond has announced his retirement from the board effective June 30. Bond was first elected to represent District 2 (Tippecanoe Township) in July 2006. 

In anticipation of this vacancy, the Tippecanoe School Corporation Board of School Trustees is preparing to fill the vacancy by appointment in accordance with applicable law as part of its meeting scheduled for 7:30 pm July 8.

Letters of interest must be submitted to the board on or before Friday, June 5. Interested candidates may contact Mark DeYoung for information and for candidate information forms. 

The board plans to meet with potential candidates for appointment during the board's work session at 5 pm June 10 at the TSC Central Administrative Offices, 21 Elston Road, Lafayette. 

As stated in TSC Bylaw 0142, the qualifications of a board member shall be: At least 21years of age; a registered voter; a high school graduate; and a resident of the district s/he represents for two (2) years immediately preceding the election (in this case Tippecanoe Township). 

The term of this appointment is for the balance of the current term, which is January 2022.
